PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Specification grade fire-rated new construction housing. The double wall fixture incorporates
a non-combustible fiber insulation to prevent passage of flames, toxic gases, ignitable gasses
into ceiling plenums. The cULus listed housing is rated for a minimum of 2 hours protection. The
noncombustable fiber fill also acts as sound deading material eliminating the transfer of sound
between floors. Suitable for commerical, multi-family and residential applications.

CONSTRUCTION
Plaster Frame
High quality 0.03" steel die cut one piece frame.
Emergency
Emergency back-up operates one lamp for a minimum of 90 minutes. Unit
includes battery, charger and test plate with indicator light. Emergency ballasts
are for dry locations. EM - EM1 - Emergency ballast with test plate, up to
650 lumens.
Air Flow Restriction
Housing has factory installed gaskets to restrict airflow from room into ceiling plenum to <2CFM EM2 - Emergency ballast with test plate, up to 1300 lumens
(cubic feet per minute) in accordance with ASTM-283 Air-Tight requirements.

One floating thermoplastic 4-pin compact fluorescent socket, pre-wired with 18 AWG, 600V Thermally protected, electronic normal power factor, single tap input voltage
leads to the junction box. Utilizes one compact fluorescent lamp mounted vertically. Lamp
120V (0.26A), 60Hz with end of life protection. Class P, 26 Watts max.

Housing
Die formed 20 guage galvanized steel construction. Housing interior is comprised of a flexible
non-combustible insulation.
Quick Connect Feature
Housing contains three UL approved quick connections that allow insertion of 1/4" stripped solid
or tinned standard conductors to be inserted into the connector. Connectors are pre-attached to
fixture power, common, and ground circuits.
Thermal Protector
Standard UL thermal protector rated for 90ºC is affixed to inner top surface of housing.
