Dear colleagues,
By now all of you must have got the good news about the Cabinet Decision
regarding our status. We shall all be treated as Central Govt employees & will
be eligible for all facilities available to other such employees like CGHS,
Central School etc, and all retirement and pensionary benefits. The dreaded
Section 11 of the PB Act will not be applicable to those of us who joined
before 05/10/2007.
This is a great victory for all of us. If you remember, an uncertain future was
staring us in the face. We were not sure of our jobs. Govt was ready to get rid
of AIR&DD at any cost. Private companies were waiting for a chance to buy
us cheap, then sell off our real estate at market price& sack most of us. But
we withstood all these threats & stood unitedly like a rock under the banner of
NFADE. The result is there for all to see.
Hence, dear colleagues, let me avail this happy moment to congratulate all of
you. ARTEE, being the largest association in our dept, has led NFADE from
the front since the beginning. As an ARTEEian I am proud of this fact.
However, let me caution you that we have only won a battle. The struggle is
not yet over. I hope all of us will show the same unity in facing future
challenges.
