The AutoArchiver script starts the wrapper scripts on all backend machines at US night time. The wrapper script runs on each user’s mailbox and invokes a binary to move old mail to secondary cheap storage and to compress very old archived mail. The wrapper script also invokes configured binaries/scripts on users’ mailboxes. All the wrapper scripts will automatically exit after configured time. Then autoarchiver script sends out status report and replicates the archived and compressed mail.
