Composition Merit Awards Journal Submission Form
The Department of English, Minnesota State University, Mankato proudly invites submissions for the
2007-2008 Composition Merits Award Journal.
Who:
Students enrolled in English 100 and English 101 during the 2007-2008 academic year.
What:
This journal publishes selected top essays submitted by English 100 & 101 students. Any essay
that was submitted as a major course assignment is eligible.
When: The journal is scheduled to be published online in Fall 2008.

Why:
To illustrate the fine work of students enrolled in composition courses.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top essays as selected by the editorial staff of the journal. All
submissions are due by May 15, 2008.
To submit an essay, first complete the attached form and save it to your computer or hand it in to your
English 100 or 101 instructor. Second, email your essay submission(s) to Bronson Lemer at
bronson.lemer@mnsu.edu. Print submissions are also welcome, and print submissions can be left for in
Armstrong Hall 230.
