through a series of public and private sector site visits. Students will

Description
III.
Justification
Students will fold the Global Experience previously required in IPM 7760 into
their IPM 7765/Capstone course in order to link theory with practice. Students
2
will still be encouraged to explore how scholars and practitioners address the
dilemmas of managing policy within an ever-changing global environment. They
will be strongly encouraged to meet this objective while undertaking in depth
research or an internship abroad. The Global Experience will now receive greater
emphasis and depth of residence abroad. No longer will it be relegated to a
Maymester, or two week experience; instead students can opt for a two week, one
month or full semester experience. A longer experience abroad is more attractive
to potential employers. In addition, the travel options folded into the Capstone
provide for greater individual flexibility and student success.
