As a TAG member, your active personal involvement in TAG affairs is expected and participation will be monitored per the ANSI Procedures for US Participation in the International Standards Activities of the ISO. Among these activities are: 1. Working Groups: Active participation is required in at least one working group listed on the TC organization chart. These working groups develop the documents published by ISO/TC 69. Participation includes reviewing submitted documents or proposals and contributing new U.S. proposals and working documents. Since working groups are only active until the assigned document becomes a published standard, TAG members will be expected to keep abreast of new developments and participate in appropriate new working groups as they are created. 2. Meetings and Responsibilities: There are two domestic TAG meetings each year. Participating members are required to vote on 80 percent of written ballots and attend 75 percent of TAG meetings (in person or via teleconference) over a two-year period, plus participation in a Task Group. If these responsibilities are more than the applicant is prepared to assume at this time, one may apply for observer status for a fee of $100.00 annually, and will receive all documents circulated to the TAG, and would also be welcome to attend meetings, but would not be able to vote. There is at least one international meeting of the ISO/TC 69 per year. Additional trips may occur depending on the work of TC 69 or if it is determined there is a need for further meetings. Ability to travel internationally is helpful and desirable however, it is not a requirement for participating member status. Expenses for travel are the responsibility of the participants. 3. Voting: Participating members are expected to return TAG ballots prior to the indicated deadlines. If you do not feel qualified to comment on a particular document, or cannot devote the required time necessary for a thorough review, a vote of “abstain” is expected. 7/27/2016 NEW MEMBER APPLICATION ANSI ACCREDITED U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 69 Statistics ASC Z1 Committee on Statistics. 1.
