Boone Named President of Santiago Canyon College Foundation Board Orange─Santiago Canyon College is pleased to welcome Linda J. Boone as president of its Foundation Board of Directors. Boone, who has served on the board since 2006 and also serves on the Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) Bond Oversight Committee, is owner and president of Flagship, Inc., a privately-held commercial real estate company. Boone’s previous career included serving as the Executive Director of the Orange Housing Development Corporation as well as the Economic Development Director for the City of Orange. In 1997, under Boone’s leadership, the department was recognized by the State of California for outstanding economic development project. The same year, Boone received the Clara Barton Spectrum Award for Outstanding Woman in Orange County. In 2001, Boone received the Orange County Building Industry Association’s Ruby Slipper Award. “Linda Boone brings a wealth of valuable experience and enthusiasm to our Foundation Board of Directors,” said Kari Caldwell, Santiago Canyon College director of college advancement. Orange attorney Fred Whitaker remains vice president of the board. The foundation board includes business, community and corporate leaders who are active supporters of the college and its programs.
