Objectives:
 The American Civil War affected African

Procedure:
 The students will participate in a Powerpoint
demonstration by the teacher on Roots. The
Students will take notes on a question sheet
provided by the teacher on the Powerpoint
presentation and movie segment presented
today. The students will view episode 6.

 The students will review the purpose and
affect the Emancipation Proclamation had on
ex-slaves.
 The students will examine the development of
the Klu Klux Klan.
 Students will review the definition of
economics. They will relate the economic
system down south to slavery.
