A list of technology marketplaces, to publicise exploitable
technologies, will be provided. They are useful not only for
technology offers but technology requests to find technological
partners.
The use of these marketplaces is free in some cases but in others a
fee is charged when technology is licensed.
Usually a Technology Marketplace is an on line service where you
can find research and technological development results and search
for innovative business opportunities on emerging technologies.
Those scientists that have developed a technology or products with
potential for exploitation are strongly recommended to use these
means to contact industrial partners.

Brief description of this site: a section of the portal of CORDIS where you can find the
selection of best technologies emerging from European Research & Development and available
for third party exploitation.
These "technology offers" are related to five domains (Biology/Medicine, Energy, Environment,
IT-Telecommunications, Industrial Technologies) and are searchable clicking on one or more
check boxes below and/or entering a search term. The result of the search performed is a list of
technology offers, each carrying a presentation with contact details of the organisation
proposing it.
How to publish technology offers: In order to do so you should go to the following
page http://cordis.europa.eu/marketplace/, under “other features” / “submit your results”.
You need a CORDIS account to enter the submission form. If you do not have a CORDIS
account
yet,
you
will have to create
one (explanations are
given at
http://cordis.europa.eu/results/index.cfm?fuseaction=connexion.dologin&location=create.newpr
ofile).
You will then be able to enter information on each result (title, abstract, subject descriptors, type
of collaboration sought…)
To be published on the Results Service, a result must be the exploitable outcome of a project of
research and technological development of some scientific or technical merit. Results can stem
from both EU and non-EU funded projects. Results stored on the Database are typically:


A scientific discovery which has commercial potential.
A developed method or apparatus which could be used by others.

Data from tests and experiments which could help others.
A patented technology which is ready for license.
Unique know-how or expertise acquired in the course of a project.
All research results submitted to the Results Service are assessed to reveal their exploitation
potential and the top ones are selected for presentation as technology offers through a userfriendly and multimedia format. They are all re-written in a newsy journalistic style by CORDIS
Editors and they may include images, illustrations diagrams or video.

Any organization or individual who owns technology may list that technology on this site. In
addition, brokers who have exclusive rights to market a technology may also list. In order to list
a technology they must be authorized your organization to list, and you must have the authority
to trade intellectual property for your organization. Authorization requires us to obtain some
additional information, such as identification numbers and references.
Comments:
They charge a commission for technology transfer arrangements executed by way of
introduction from this site, with a $10,000 minimum. As a result, you only pay our commission
when you´ve received value from using our service.

technologies or technology needs, delve into their details, and save your searches, all for free.
You can request or respond to introductions for free. There is also free access to a patentsearching tool, to industry leader insights and commentary etc.
