Assessment for Personal Responsibility:
While the assignment used to assess this core objective does not fully lend itself to evaluation according
to the AACU’s Ethical Reasoning VALUE Rubric, this assignment does contribute towards that rubric’s
goals of developing a student’s ability to assess “the social context of problems [and] recognize ethical
issues in a variety of settings.” When assessing this assignment, faculty will assign a value to the
students’ ability to meet these two goals (from “fails” to “excellent”).
