Mushroom
Hamilton was working in his office when a student came to the door. He picked up a
small brown mushroom that was sitting on his desk and began to tell the student, "You
know, I love these mushrooms. I’ve been eating them ever since I was a little kid. These
ones are a little late this year, but that’s because of the dry summer". He then popped the
mushroom in his mouth and said, "Hmm, these are a little fruitier this year". He
continued speaking with the student about academic concerns and slowly slumped before
falling out of his chair.
The student ran from the room yelling, "A professor is dying! Call an ambulance, he's
just eaten a poisonous mushroom". As the medical personnel arrived, they ran up to his
office and opened the door to find Professor Hamilton working at his desk as though
nothing had happened.
