August 10th Homework Hello Parents, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. This past week was a great learning experience for your child and myself. As a result I am changing my communication set up. I won’t be using agenda’s this year. You can keep those at home. Instead I will be placing Behavior calendar for the month in the return to school section of our Red Go home folder. Please do not let your child draw or write on it. Keep it in there folder daily at all times. Your child will color there face green if there behavior did not change. If it did I will mark there face and communicate behavior via the behavior code. Please initial there face on the calendar daily. Weekly Learning Goals Adding Science safety Importance of rules at school and home Parts of a book, 3 ways to read, ABC’s and sounds Words of the week I can Your child will receive a stapled homework packet each Monday. Just friendly reminder homework is due every Friday. Please keep homework at home and return on Friday. Please remember the reading log is part of our homework don’t forget to do the book log each night. I will pick up book logs this week. Super Student Notes • Skills to continue work on with your child. • Shoe tying • Writing their name • Please place snacks in the school boxes you all purchased as part of school supplies. (There easy to store this way) • Snack should be small and healthy • If your child has difficulty opening snack items on their own please place it in a Ziploc bag. Our snack time goes by so quickly. • If you have not already please send in lunch applications, student handbook consent forms, and performance checklist acknowledgment • Please note Kindergarten does not participate in the upcoming open house as we had our Open house meeting on July 27th.
