Mrs. Mysore Nagamani Srinath - Vocal Musician, Teacher, Organizer, Composer, author amalgamated, portray the multifaceted personality of Smt. G. N. Nagamani Srinath. With her vibrant melodious voice, vocal prowess, discerning bias for shruti, a revealing manodharma blended with orthodoxy, astute subtle rendering, vividly cogent “tala” and didactic knowledge, she has carved out a nice niche for herself in the field of Carnatic music. Born in Jodi Gubbi – a remote village, she had to brave many a tempest to nurture the artiste in her. She started her training at an early age of 5 years and at 9 years, her first concert had the audience spell bound. Ever since her advancement in the field has been unabated. A disciple of “Musician of Musicians” Late Sri Ramanad Krishnan, Madras, she belongs to an exclusive and elite group of musicians who have held center stage in the field of Carnatic music for over three decades. A rare gem among contemporary musicians, she is also an astute grammarian with a deep insight into the facets of this enthralling and enhancing medium. She has enriched the field by her own compositions and by providing ever-new nuances to the traditional and established compositions of famous composers of yester years. B.V. Raghavendra Rao- Violin Raghavendra Rao hails from a distinguished family of musicians.He was initiated into the niceties of music at an early age of five by his father B.Sudarsana Rao. Attracted by the lure of classical music from his childhood, he trained rigorously on the violin for several years and he is presently the disciple of the violin “Maestro” Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri.T.N.Krishnan. Later he received invaluable guidance and concert experience from Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna. He has widely travelled all over the world, including the U.S.A, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius and the Middle Eastern countries. Melakaveri K. Balaji - Mridangam Sri Melakaveri K. Balaji, hails from a family of musicians; his Father K. Krishnamurthy is a professional mridangam player; his grandfather, Melakaveri A. Kalyanaraman was a renowned Ganjira player. Melakaveri K. Balaji had all of his training in Mridangam, (both initial and advanced levels of training) beginning at the age of 9, under the tutelage of his Father, Melakaveri K. Krishnamurthy. Balaji has accompanied Mastroes like Padmabushan Dr.M. Balamurali Krishna, Sri T. V. Sankaranarayanan, Lalgudi Sri G. Jayaraman and G. J. R. Krishnan, Sri T. N. Krishnan, Sri M. S. Gopalakrishnan, Sri M. chandrasekaran, Dr. N. Ramani, just to name a few. Chandrika Ramanna – Co-Vocalist R. Chandrika is a well known Carnatic vocalist in Karnataka. She learned music from Vidushi Nagamani Srinath and Vetern Vidwan R. K. Srikantan, both well known personalities globally in Carnatic music. Chandrika is a rank holder in vidwat exam conducted by Karnatak State Secondary Education Board. She has many audio and CDs to her credit released by well known organizations. She has won both Central and State Government Scholarships for learning Carnatic music, at a very young age. Chandrika started giving concerts at the age of 15. She has traveled abroad in giving concerts. This is her first visit to the United States, accompanying her own Guru, Nagamani Srinath. Chandrika is a Double Graduate, working as a Staff Artist in All India Radio. She is a “A” graded artist in AIR and Door Darshan. Udupi Sreedhar – Ghatam Udupi Sreedhar, has had his initial training in Mridangam under Karamana Sri Krishnankutty Nair from the age of 8. He received advanced training in Mridangam from Late Padmashree Mavelikkara N. Krishnankutty Nair. He subsequently learned Ghatam frolm Vidwan Kalaimamani Sri K. M. Vaidyanathan. A graded artiste of All India Radio – “A” grade in Ghatam and “B” High Grade in Mridangam, Udupi Sreedhar has been providing accompaniments for eminent vocalists and instrumentalists for their performances throughout India and abroad., He has been featured in various programs in All India Radio and Doordarshan in the National networks including Akashvani Sangeetha Sammelan programs.
