Learn more about ultrasounds and health screenings! Ultrasound scans, similar to those done during standard obstetrical care at a doctor's office, will be conducted once between 10-19 weeks gestation. The ultrasound scans will be used to estimate gestational age of the fetus and to assess whether any abnormalities in development can be detected. Each ultrasound takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. If a recent ultrasound exam has been completed by your doctor and is accessible, we may not repeat the ultrasound. In addition to ultrasounds, monthly health screenings will be conducted. Your pulse and blood pressure will be taken and recorded, your weight will be measured, and you will be asked to complete a urine screening for general health and drugs.
