Is Oman still considering the possibility of ratifying the International Covenant on
Economic, social and Cultural Rights as well as the International Covenant on Civil
and Political rights?

What concrete measures has Oman adopted to promote women education and her full
and equal participation in all the spheres of public life? In view of the fact that there is
still only one woman as member of the Majilis A’Shura after October elections, does
Oman envisage any initiative to strengthen the presence of women in public
institutions and decisions organs of the country?
