On Thursday (a City holiday), I traveled to the 2015 Assured Guaranty conference to serve as a
keynote speaker. I paid for my own airfare, rental car and taxis to and from O'Hare. Because
this was a conference, the host (Assured) had directly booked rooms for speakers. I could not
direct bill the 1-night hotel room to my credit card. Rather, I have sent a personal check to
Assured Guaranty to cover the room cost and the dinner the night before I spoke where Mayor
Bloomberg gave his remarks.
