That: Minutes of the 5/11/2010 D/DL Committee meeting be
approved.
3. ELECTIONS
Delayed until a new Distance Learning Coordinator is appointed.
4. UPDATES





Any colleges offering classes in Winter will be piloting a new,
more streamlined online add system. If it goes well, it will be
implemented district-wide in the Spring.
A new Distance Learning Coordinator is scheduled to be
appointed by next month.
We currently have approximately 4500 active students enrolled
in online classes, and approximately 130 sites (including online,
hybrid, and enhanced classes).
The DL Manual is posted on this committee’s site; members of
the DL committee should read it before the next meeting and
make suggestions for any changes to Bob and Joan.
Harbor is in compliance with paragraph 4 of the “Second To Be
Arranged Hours Follow-Up Memorandum,” (attached) which
concerns hybrid classes. Paragraph 3, however, is not within
the purview of this committee; we defer to Academic Affairs,
which is in charge of scheduling.
