Passage 1A: Mount Everest
Mount Everest is the highest mountain on erth. It is part of the Himalaya mountain range in
southern Asia.
Everest sits the border of nepal and Tibet. It was wonce known as Peak 15. The
mountain later named after George Everest.
Everest was about 60 million years ago. It has an elevation of 29035 feet. It is always
changing, however. The mountain rizes a few millimeters every year. This is a result of
