3. El presente progresivo
1. When do we use the present progressive?
Use the present progressive to talk about actions as they are occurring right now.
2. How do we form sentences using the present progressive?
Use conjugated form of the verb ESTAR + verb with –ANDO, -IENDO, (or –YENDO) ending.
3. Why do we use ESTAR with the present progressive (instead of SER)?
It refers to a temporary action. Also, it is the “A” (action) in P.L.A.C.E.
Ser is used for permanent states of being.
