Things going on in the
classroom
Wow! I can’t believe it is already April. I hope
everyone had a wonderful and restful Spring Break.
Right before the break we finished our animal research
projects. They are wonderful and look great hanging in
the hallway. We will begin our fourth quarter projects
soon; they will be about historical people and their
contributions.
Fourth Quarter has now begun, and the Reading 3D
testing opens on April, 27th and testing will continue
into May. This will be the end of the year reading
assessment and all students should be able to read and
write a level M/N in order to be considered on second
grade level. Please continue to read with your child a
minimum of 20 minutes each night. Also don’t forget to
use MobyMax and RAZ-kids as these are both great
resources to reinforce skills and content being taught
in the classroom.
If you have any concerns or questions, please e-mail me
at kimberly_bayard@iss.k12.nc.us (there is an
underscore between my first and last name).
