Inherited Traits

*Examples- height, eye color, hair color, skin color,
dimples, freckles, tongue rolling, etc
Learned Behaviors
*Behaviors that are learned rather than passed down
*Examples- throwing a ball, writing, reading, dancing,
eating with a fork, loving chocolate, athletic ability, etc
Animals and Plants
*Examples of inherited traits in plants- leaf or flower
color, shape, height, etc
*Examples of inherited behaviors in plants- roots
growing down in the soil, a plant growing towards the
sunlight, etc
*Examples of inherited traits in animals- color of fur,
length, body shape, height, dog walking on all fours,
webbed feet, etc
*Examples of inherited behaviors in animals- dog
barking, birds chirping, spider spinning a web,
meowing, growing, nursing, etc
*Examples of learned behaviors in animals- a dog
scratching at the door to go out, an animal walking,
bird flying, etc
