What are the Student's Roles and Responsibilities?

 Seek out a mentor, if appropriate
 Follow the guidelines as detailed in the
"Student Guide"

communication with assigned

 Keep up with deadlines and due dates
• Discuss the project with your child to understand the
goal
• Sign Parental Consent/Liability Waiver form (App. of
Student Guide)

information
• Log-in to ManageBac to see communication, deadlines,
due dates, etc.
• Do not micromanage

 “P” or “NP”**
 **Any projects receiving a
“NP” will be reviewed by a
MYP Admin Panel from MMS,
NVS, SIHS & District
Per the IB
 From "Projects Guide"
 "In schools in which the MYP finishes with
year 5 of the programme, all students must
complete the personal project, with the
majority of their work undertaken in the final
MYP year"
 "Successful completion of the personal
project is a requirement for awarding the IB
MYP certificate."
