Mrs. Kaushik’s and Ms. Gettler’s November’s Newsletter
In the month of November we will be talking about turkeys, scarecrows, leaves,
cornucopias. We’ll use these topics in our writing, reading, math, art, and social skill
instruction. We’ll talk about Thanksgiving Day and making crafts relating to the topic.
We will be working on adding and subtracting single digits using seasonal manipulative. We will continue
working on building sight words vocabulary and reading comprehension in both fiction and nonfiction.
November 2nd and 3rd were student holiday/planning/records/conference days. Thank you for coming
for conferences and sharing the information with us.
CBIs:
We have been participating in our in school community based trips biweekly. The students have been
and will be practicing their social skills and communication skills in the community based trips. Every
Wednesday is our CBI day. This month we’ll be having only in-school CBIs.
