Many students find it helpful to have their own copy of the novels we read, as they may then
write in the book, highlight passages, etc. These are important skills for students to develop as they
prepare for high school and possibly AP English.
Two of the novels your son/daughter will be reading in English this year are available from
Scholastic Books. You may order a copy of one or both of these books for your child by returning the
paper below. Please attach either cash or a check made out to Scholastic Books for the appropriate
amount. Mrs. Demorest will place the order for you—you only need to fill out the bottom portion of
this paper and return it with your money. Thank you! 
