- How ancient societies had a lasing influence on the United
States
- The influence of founding documents to current U.S.

ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS: Why did we look to ancient
governments in the creation of our government?
How did the colonial experience have a lasting effect on our
nation?

STAGE II – ASSESSMENT EVIDENCE
PERFORMANCE TASK: Short class reading and
participation will be assessed. Interpretating the Dec. of
Indep. activity will be assessed. Students will be assessed on
their completion of guided notes. Students will be assessed on
their abilty to define vocabulary in their own words.
