Unfinished Business
Faculty review of Administrators: There needs to be a mechanism in place for
confidence votes.
New Business:
New charge. SEOIs for online courses, to approve as permanent Fall Quarter,
2006.
The committee reviewed the Online SEOI document and suggested changes.
Security is an issue. How it is difficult to ensure confidentiality. It is said that
measures have been taken to ensure the students fill out the forms are the
students enrolled in the class.
We want to encourage departments to develop testing devices to complement
SEOIs. Perhaps focus groups, for example, to ensure students’ understanding of
the instruction.
