Complete warmup #12 on the following quote: “Many times I have failed, but I am not a failure. I have made mistakes, but I am not a mistake.” Do you agree with this quote? Are mistakes acceptable in your life? Why or why not? 2. Finish your Supersize Me essay and turn in by end of period. 3. With your clock reading buddy, read ”In Praise of the F Word” by Mary Sherry (http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/1991/05/05/inpraise-of-the-f-word.html). Determine what is her thesis/argument. What evidence/examples does she use to support her argument (think ethos, pathos, logos)? 4. As a class, read story “Salvation” by Langston Hughes and analyze purpose.
