AP English Language and Composition
AGENDA:
1. Review yearly vocabulary assignment.
2. Review examples of personal narrative/photograph
demonstrating understanding of Welty’s style.
3. In groups, perform written peer review of Welty
summer writing assignment. Make sure you answer the
following questions in your peer review:
 Did writer understand the prompt?
 Did writer show that he/she understood the book?
 Did the writer use enough examples?
4. Read non-fiction article by Nafisi about The
Great Gatsby and comment as a class. Analyze
the importance of detail in determining
character (flipchart).
HOMEWORK/UPCOMING DUE DATES:
Any rewrites of personal narratives will be
due next Tuesday, 8/25.
