Implied – which is a line that is not really there but implies that there is movement in a drawing. ie – a projectile shot out of a gun hitting a target. This could be done on the surface of a pot as an applied design. SPACE Defined as or refers to Distance or Area between, around, above or within things. It could be described in both 2-dimensional and 3 dimensional applications. Creating the illusion of depth. SHAPE Is Defined as Enclose space. Shapes could take any shape from traditional shapes to organic. ` 2-D Shapes : Squares, Circles, Ovals, Triangles, Rectangles, Trapezoids, ect. ` Shapes put together without value could make the illusion of 3-D Shapes. VALUE Defined as the Lightness or Darkness of a color. Value is needed to describe volume, and form. FORM Defined as a 3Dimensional Shape. 3Dimensional & it encloses a space to form a Form. Spheres, Cubes, Cones, Pyramids and examples of various forms. They could also be organic in nature. TEXTURE Refers to the surface quality of your artwork. Smooth, Rough, Soft, Sharp ect. ` -Actual Texture is the actual feel of the surface of piece. -Simulated Texture is the illusion of texture on a surface created by the artist. Fake texture. COLOR Needs light to exist, Without light color does not exist. Hue - Name of a color. Yellow, orange, red, green ect. ` Intensity – purity and strength of a color. Brightness or Dullness. ` Value – Lightness or Darkness of a color. ` Tint or Shade – Usually created by adding white or black to color.
