Mrs. Obermiller’s News August 28th, 2014 What we are learning Men with Class We have been working on the routine, rules, being respectful, what being a writer looks like and sounds like, how wonderful it is to read and jump into a book, sorting, number recognition, all about us, self-help skills, and much more. Next week we will work more on friendship and communication skills. Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, Our first day to come and play is Monday, September 15th. If you can come anytime that day please let me know. If you cannot make it on the 15th but can another day in September please let me know and we will work something out! Please make sure you have had the Volunteer training. Parents, Classroom Needs- THANK YOU volunteers volunteers Reminders *Please send in your child’s book bag if you have not done so already. *Please send in Box Tops, Campbell’s soup labels In order for you to come into the classroom and volunteer it is required that you go through the Volunteer Training. I sent out information on it earlier this week. If you need that information again please let me know. I need parents to help with STAR assessments on September 10th from 9:15-11:45. You will be monitoring small groups either in the hall, classroom, or playground. Please let me know as soon as you can if you are available. Remember that you will need to have taken the volunteer training before coming. If you have done it for Jenks ever then you DO NOT have to take it again! If you have not sent your child’s photo page back please do so as soon as possible. *Please come in and volunteer! We love it!!!!!! *Please start your reading for reading folders on September 1st.
