Questions and Answers #2 District Electronic Security Systems Maintenance Services Bid 86643 Question: Can we perform Remote Programming for some of the tasks listed under Section V under Pricing Proposal, Items 1-14? Answer: Yes, this will be set-up after the PSA is awarded. Question: Please clarify Item # 7 under Section V – what is considered a non-system related issue? Answer: The District wants to track all activities having to do with the ACAMS and Video systems. This should include any time caused by other systems. For example, if a camera goes off line and appears to be malfunctioning but in fact it is found that a network line had been severed by a separate contractor who is installing a new light fixture. Question: Would you be willing to set a standard allotment of hours for each vendor to bid on Items # 12, 13, 14 under Section V – Pricing Proposal? It is difficult to estimate accurately the services in these categories. Answer: I don’t think that we want an “allotment”. Vendors should be able to use their “experience programming systems of similar size and complexity” to come up with a reasonable price to charge for the Services. Question: Are there as-builts (drawings) for each campus for panel locations etc.? Answer: For the most part yes.
