Jared R. Wigginton
Experience
Jared Wigginton is an associate in the firm’s Environment, Land Use and Natural
Resources group. His practice is designed to help clients successfully address legal
issues they face arising in the context of environmental, wildlife and natural resources
law. Jared has experience working on matters affecting private industries, including
oil and gas, fisheries, renewables, mining, manufacturing, and retail as well as
matters affecting public agencies.
Jared is available to assist clients in resolving legal issues related to, among other
laws, the National Environmental Policy Act, Administrative Procedure Act,
Endangered Species Act, Magnuson-Stevens Act, Clean Water Act, Marine Mammal
Protection Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability
Associate
Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Federal Land Policy and Management Act, Mineral
Leasing Act, National Forest Management Act, Naval Petroleum Reserve Production

Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Jared served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Michael
L. Douglas of the Nevada Supreme Court. He also completed a legal externship for the

California Office of the Attorney General in the Environment, Land Law & Natural
Resources sections. Jared graduated from the U.C. Davis School of Law (King Hall),
Order of the Coif, with a concentration in Environmental Law. Through these and
other experiences, Jared has developed a deep understanding of the law, judicial
process and what effective and meaningful client representation requires.
