Dustin R. Swanson Experience Dustin Swanson is an associate whose practice focuses on federal income tax law and state and local taxation. He advises clients regarding all aspects of corporate taxation, including taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, and with respect to transactions and tax issues involving partnerships, S corporations, limited liability companies and other pass-through entities. Dustin regularly represents clients in controversies involving the IRS and state revenue authorities. He also advises taxexempt clients on compliance and planning issues. Before joining Stoel Rives, Dustin was an associate at Perkins Coie LLP, where he represented clients involved in litigation and with respect to real estate and land use matters. While studying tax law at the University of Florida, he was a graduate research assistant for Professor Martin McMahon. He also worked for Senator Max Baucus while attending Cornell University's Washington, D.C. program.
