Is it informative or just asking a question? Put the information in your own words V – Visual/ Vocabulary Only highlight words you think are important to the understanding of the chapter E – End of Section Questions S – Summary I view this strategy as a mental strategy for students to use prior to starting a section or to refresh their minds before a test, so they are not bogged down with excessive details and information. This strategy will introduce them to the meat & potatoes of a chapter!
