Terms and Conditions
The program stipend you receive as participant in the Hessen-Wisconsin Program includes two academic seminars (20 contact hours
each), a language course (40 contact hours), one workshop (8 contact hours), the cultural program, accommodation in host families
for the duration of the program, health, liability and accident insurance for the duration of the ISU, a ticket for public transportation in
Kassel and study material. Each additional seminar will cost an extra € 200.
Participants who join the optional trip to Berlin will have to pay an additional € 225. This extra fee covers the costs for transportation to
and from Berlin, a ticket for public transportation in Berlin, accommodation, breakfast and the cultural program offered.
In case there will not be a sufficient number of students enrolled, the International Summer University (ISU) Kassel may cancel
seminars or may cancel the whole ISU Kassel program. In the latter case, fees will be refunded.
ISU Giessen
If you apply for ISU Giessen you do not need to choose a module or seminars. There is just one class schedule that applies to all ISU
participants.

for the duration of the program, the four-week study program including seminars, printed reading materials, all study tours, all leisure
field trips, a four-week German language course, meal subsidy of EUR 50, the cultural and leisure program, health, liability and
accident insurance for the duration of the ISU, and a four-week ticket for public transportation in Giessen.

The program stipend you receive as participant in the Hessen-Wisconsin Program includes two academic seminars (20 contact hours
each), a language course (36 contact hours), study material, accommodation in a single room in a student dormitory, meal subsidy of
EUR 50, evening events and cultural program.
Disclaimer
The Hessen International Summer University, its organizers, staff, lecturers and teachers shall not be held accountable for any damage to personal property or
for injuries suffered by participants during the Hessen ISU program, except where the damage or injuries suffered are caused by acts of willful intent or gross
negligence. The Hessen ISU shall not be held accountable for any damage to property or injury to people caused by participants.
Important
The minimum age for participation in the Hessen ISU program is 18 years.
In case of misbehavior, the organizers of the Hessen ISU reserve the right to dismiss a participant from the ISU program. Misbehavior constitutes e.g. attacks
and insults on other participants, staff, or other third parties, drug abuse, excessive alcohol abuse. A participant’s dismissal from the course is solely at the
discretion of the organizers, i.e. the academic organizers and the program manager. Should a person be dismissed from the ISU program, no fees will be
refunded.
Governing Law, Jurisdiction
The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall govern this contract. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising hereunder shall be the courts of ordinary
jurisdiction in the city of the Hessen ISU program.
By signing this contract, I certify that I wish to participate in the Hessen International Summer University and that I acknowledge and
accept to be legally bound by its terms and conditions stated above.
