The Lead Member for Planning authorised the City Solicitor to make a

Compulsory Purchase Order under Section 530 of the Education Act
1996 on those land and property interests at Broadway Industrial
Estate, King William Street, Salford as identified in this report, for the
purpose of facilitating development of an Academy school, the title of
the Order being: “Salford City Council (Broadway Industrial Estate, King
William Street, Salford) Compulsory Purchase Order 2008.”
3. Exclusion of the Public
It was resolved that , under section 100A(4) of the Local Government
Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item
of business on the ground that they involve the likely disclosure of
exempt information as specified in the paragraphs of Part 1 of
Schedule 12A to the Act, indicated
