EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The purpose of this report is to inform members of the results of a pilot Good Governance diagnostic audit recently undertaken by the Audit Commission. The aim of the diagnostic was to test the strength of governance arrangements within the council. The diagnostic focussed primarily on the roles and behaviour of elected Councillors and senior officers and the overall culture of governance arrangements.
