TITLE: Corporate protection from SPAM and Junk MAIL for Salford City Council
RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the attached report be approved
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
E-Mail has in recent years become the primary medium for electronic communication
both within the Corporate environments as well as the home. As a result of this, there
has been an increasing amount of junk mail (SPAM) flying around the Internet, which
according to research companies such as MessageLabs, now account for
approximately 50% of all mail circulating around the Internet community.
