Student Internship Video Editor/Videographer “Poppin’ in the Pioneer Valley” television show Description: Seeking an enthusiastic editing intern with a creative mind and thorough knowledge of “Final Cut Pro” to edit a fun and exciting and new television show... a great opportunity as a resume builder. Organization: Poppin’ in the Pioneer Valley, working out of Longmeadow Community Access TV station as well as Agawam. Administrator: Connie J. Magarian/WSU – kmagarian@westfield.ma.edu – X 5406 Number of hours: Approximately 8+ hrs/wk (120-130 hrs per semester) flexible schedule Academic Dep’t: Open to all Departments Academic Credit: Upon approval by academic department/faculty member; three (3) credits per semester. Responsibilities: 1. Utilizing Final Cut Pro software, separate content in shows for editing. 2. Create and edit consistent fast paced episodes. 3. Willingness to go on adventures to tape future episodes (have shot ziplining aerial acrobatics, festivals etc.). 4. Ability to operate a video camera, understanding angles a plus. 5. Offer creative input for episodes. 6. Other relevant duties for position where applicable. Qualifications: Must have working knowledge of “Final Cut Pro” editing program. Understand the process of taking footage from beginning to a complete project. Incorporating music, text and pictures in addition to using creative editing techniques to capture the viewer’s attention for the entire episode. A positive attitude and a desire to assist in creating a successful show that will be aired throughout the Pioneer Valley.
