 Record of the meeting held on 26th January, 2004 – noted
 Insurance – Alan Eastwood reported that he had checked across
Greater Manchester and Manchester were one of the few authorities
that had their own claims handling section and he had been invited to
visit and see them in operation
 Sundry debtor write-offs – APPROVAL to write off £141,867.24
relating to 164 cases
 SAP Hardware and Software upgrade – defer consideration to next
week pending the submission of further information
 Proposal for capital expenditure – APPROVED – toilet refurbishment
and office relocation at Lewis Street Primary School
 Richard Wynne reported on the current position with regard to the
redevelopment AT Higher Broughton
 NNDR – letter to be sent to all sports clubs recommending that they
register with the Inland Revenue in order to be able to gain 20%
discretionary rate relief
 VER – application signed
