BACKGROUND
APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A PERMIT FOR AMUSEMENT WITH PRIZES
MACHINES
An application has been received from Mr Phillip Peters who is the Premises Licence Holder
under the Licensing Act 2003, for Cue Masters Snooker Club Linnyshaw Mill Manchester
Road Walkden.
Mr Peters has applied for the grant of a permit to allow him to place an additional two
amusement with prizes machines in the premises known as Cue Masters. The Licensing
Section has already issued a permit for two amusement with prize machines, under
delegated powers. An application made for more than two machines must be brought to the
Licensing Regulatory Panel for Members to decide.
Prior to the implementation of the Licensing Act 2003 such an application would have to
have been made at the local Magistrates Court. Members are requested today to discuss the
application and make a decision.
