WARD (S) TO WHICH REPORT RELATES All Wards KEY COUNCIL POLICIES Licensing Act 2003 DETAILS (Continued Over) Licensing Enforcement Officer BACKGROUND APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A PERMIT FOR AMUSEMENT WITH PRIZES MACHINES This application was before members on Thursday 28th September 2006, and members requested further information and requested that the applicant attend in person. An application has been received from Mr Phillip Peters who is the Premises Licence Holder under the Licensing Act 2003, for Cue Masters Snooker Club Linnyshaw Mill Manchester Road Walkden. Mr Peters has applied for the grant of a permit to allow him to place an additional two amusement with prizes machines in the premises known as Cue Masters. The Licensing Section has already issued a permit for two amusement with prize machines, under delegated powers. An application made for more than two machines must be brought to the Licensing Regulatory Panel for Members to decide. Prior to the implementation of the Licensing Act 2003 such an application would have to have been made at the local Magistrates Court. Members are requested today to discuss the application and make a decision.
