NOMINATIONS TO PRIMARY SCHOOL REVIEW GROUP
Members will recall that there was a presentation to the March meeting on the
review of Primary Schools. It was reported that a review group was being set
up to look at the future of primary school provision in Weaste / Seedley /
Langworthy / Ordsall.
Members strongly expressed the view that Community Committee should be
represented on the group.
The Education & Leisure Directorate have formally invited Community
Committee to nominate a representative to the Review Group (the first
meeting was postponed and no new date has been announced at the time of
writing this paper).
At last month’s meeting, no nomination was forthcoming but the
Neighbourhood Co-ordinator was asked to look at the attendance list for the
March meeting to try and identify a suitable nominee. There were no regular
Community Committee attenders present at the March meeting who are
obvious candidates for nomination.
A nomination is sought.
