Resolution 2004-07 Distance Learning Moratorium Repealed Whereas Mt. San Antonio College has created documentation for the requirements of distance learning to ensure academic rigor, including separate course approval process, certification of Online Faculty, regular review of individual courses and Whereas Mt. San Antonio College has reached agreement on faculty workload, compensation for creation and development of new online or hybrid courses, class size, and intellectual property rights, and Whereas the amount of support for creation and development of Distance Learning course materials has been outlined by the Distance Learning Strategic Plan, and Whereas the College President and Vice President of Instruction have committed to building a strong, well supported, and quality Distance Learning program, and Whereas faculty feel that these issues have been resolved to their satisfaction and that specific language has been included in the contract with the District regarding these distance learning issues; Resolved, that the Academic Senate repeal the moratorium on the approval of new distance learning classes that was imposed by Resolution 01-07. September 2004
