Excessum Written by. Joe Lawson Character Biographies Joshua Lancaster: Joshua is an average kid living in the suburban mid-west. Born Joshua Peter Lancaster September 5th at Chicago General Hospital. Joshua has lived his entire life in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois called Frankford. Christened in St. Josephs Catholic Church, Joshua’s parents left the church when he was 13 years old. Since their departure from the church Joshua has felt a sense of disillusionment about his faith. One fateful night everything in Joshua’s life changes, in his untimely death Joshua is reborn. An Angel, he will be called by some, a source of inspiration. But to others he is death incarnate charged to wage a war that has endured time itself. So comes Excessum (I think he has a sort of Tom Welling look to him) Lacey McKenzie Lacey is Joshua’s best friend in the whole world. Born Elisabeth Lacey McKenzie, Lacey has known Joshua since they were born. Both growing up in the same neighborhood and attending St. josephs together Joshua and Lacey are inseparable. Lacey starts off as an average teenage girl but over the course of the first story arc her faith and friendship will be put to the test as she becomes consumed but Excessum. (I always picture Katie Holmes as this character) Arthur and Joan McKenzie Arthur and Joan are Lacey’s parents and Joshua’s godparents. Arthur and Joan have known Joshua’s Parents since they were in college. Despite Joshua and his parents leaving St. josephs the McKenzie’s continued trusting in their faith because of this they become very important to Joshua as Excessum. (for some reason I always think of the Weasley’s from Harry Potter.) Father Ramzie Father Ramzie is the head of St. Josephs the Catholic Church that Joshua and the McKenzie’s attend. He has been implored by God, as well as the Vatican to watch over Joshua and assist him in his duties as Excessum. (I think he has a kind of Ed Harris look.) The Man in White The man in white is very mysterious not much is know about him until later on into the first arc. All we know is that he is a very powerful fallen angel. (I think that Jake Busey’s character from Contact is a perfect visual for him) Alex Johnson Alex is a friend of Joshua’s they have known each other for several years. Alex is kind of goofy. Alex isn’t what you would call a religious person. In fact he thinks that god is a waste of time. He doesn’t find out about Joshua being Excessum until much later into the story. He is constantly mocking the fact that people would believe in ridiculous urban legends like Excessum.
