Senior Information Security Analyst
Purpose
Purpose:
Provides senior administrative and technical assistance in the management of
information security. Assists in developing, monitoring and enforcing practices to
ensure that information is secure from unauthorized access and inappropriate
alteration.
Essential Functions
Function 1:
Provides senior leadership of all security analyst and technician duties and
responsibilities.
20 % Time
Function 2:
Assists in the development, implementation, monitoring and support of access
control, data confidentiality, system integrity, system reliability, system audit and
recovery methods and procedures.
15 % Time
Function 3:
Provides support in information security projects and requirements.
15 % Time
Function 4:
Supports security equipment to ensure proper operation including upgrades and
installations.
10 % Time
Function 5:
Helps to develop and update security policies and procedures.
15 % Time
Function 6:
Aids in facilitating training classes.
10 % Time
Function 7:
Reports, records, and works with departments to resolve security related issues and
incidents.
15 % Time

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field. 4 years experience in
networks, databases, security, web development or other related field. Applicants

graduated.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications related to the duties and responsibilities specified, including but not
limited to CNA, CCNA, CISA, CISSP, MCSE, SSCP, and SANS GIAC. Experience with
web development, scripting, and/or programming. Working, practical experience,
with at least one of the following: Cisco Pix Firewall, TippingPoint IPS, Snort or
Sourcefire IDS, Microsoft ForeFront, ClamAV, vCenter Configuration Management
Software, SafeBoot, WinMagic, Watchfire or IBM AppScan, Cenzic Application
Scanner, Oracle/Peoplesoft security, MySQL, MS SQL, LDAP, Kerberos, Active
Directory, Apache, IIS, Nessus vulnerability scanner, Sendmail, IronPort, Email
Encryption, Identity Finder, Data Loss Prevention tools, SMTP, SNMP, Perl, Unix
Shell, C, C++, PHP, or Java. Excellent communication skills. Team-oriented and selfmotivated within a team environment.
