Purpose
Purpose:
The Coordinator of the Center for Addiction and Recovery Studies reports to the
Director of the Center. The Coordinator oversees and facilitates:
Essential Functions
Function 1:
Contract management. Negotiate with State agencies and others to execute fair and
appropriate contracts. Track and monitor contracts. Maintain contract
correspondence. Communicate with PI/UT Arlington faculty and staff to report
project progress and contract issues.

Function 2:
Budgeting and financial management. Prepare project budgets. Develop and
implement expenditure tracking systems and appropriate cost allocation plans.

Function 3:
Personnel management. Develop and establish a staffing pattern within and across
projects. Conduct and oversee periodic performance evaluations of staff. Maintain
personnel records. Interview and hire staff.
10 % Time
Function 4:
Project operations. Direct/delegate the daily operations of the New Connections
programs. Establish policies and procedures for each project. Supervise/monitor
service delivery. Insure all project and contract goals are met.

Function 5:
Community partnership management. Act as a liaison between New Connections
programs and outside community agencies.

Function 6:
Program development. Identify potential sources of program support. Coordinate
closely with PI and UT Arlington, UTSW and Parkland departments for the
submission of grant applications and journal articles. Identify and apply for program
recognition opportunities.

Function 7:
Evaluation, research, and data management. Design, implement and maintain
project data systems to track participants, services, program goals and key
performance measures.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master's in Social Work and Texas State Social Work Licensure. At least 5 years
experience with contract and budget management, personnel management, and
program development in a social service agency and/or health and human services
institution. Applicants must include in their online resume the following information:

Preferred Qualifications:
Dual degree: MSW and MPH; MSW and MBA; or MSW and PhD in social work or
related field. Experience in the substance abuse field of practice. Administrative
experience. Excellent communication skills. 10 years of required experience.
