Director Purpose Purpose: To provide significant corporate outreach and external relations activities to market college programs and facilitate student job search and employer recruitment of COB students-primarily masters students. Essential Functions Function 1: Provide employers with information about our degree programs and the knowledge, skills, and abilities of our graduating students. Function as the primary point of contact for the college in linking with employers who desire to recruit our students. 30 % Time Function 2: Meet with employers to market and place our graduates in full-time, professional positions and identify and cultivate internship opportunities for College of Business students. 20 % Time Function 3: Refer employers to Career Services for posting of jobs and interviewing students. Serve as liaison between Career Services and the College of Business. 10 % Time Function 4: Help to link faculty members with employers so faculty members become more knowledgeable of job and career opportunities for graduating students. 5 % Time Function 5: Plan and coordinate a College of Business job fair or employer showcase for students. Assist Career Services in conducting/scheduling student workshops/seminars concerned with resume preparation, interviewing skills, and other job tasks. 10 % Time Function 6: Identify corporate research opportunities for faculty member engagement in applied problem solving. 10 % Time Function 7: Design and develop a system for data collection (and reports) concerning job offers, starting salaries, and related metrics of job placement of College of Business students. 10 % Time Function 8: Make presentations to business student organizations about job and career opportunities in various business function and industry sectors. 5 % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Perform other tasks associated with student job search, corporate employee recruitment, and external affairs. Other functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Master's degree in business. At least five years of significant and progressive experience in university-corporate relations, job-employee-career development, marketing, and brand development, promotion of business degree programs, and/or internship programs. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in business from an AACSB International accredited school in addition to the minimum qualifications.
