APPLICATION FOR OUT-OF-COUNTY CAMP/CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP
The East Pottawattamie Extension Council reviewed their policy regarding out-of-county camp and conference
scholarships in February of 2011. They feel very strongly that youth should be encouraged to benefit from these events.
The Extension Office is encouraging all 4-H youth to apply and to use the opportunity to advance their communication
skills while sharing their experiences with the Extension Council and other county youth.

As a recipient of an out-of-county camp or conference scholarship, you are required to:
Juniors:
 Speak to your club about the event
 Create a poster and present it to the Extension Council within 1 month of the event (Poster
shall be available to county for publicity use)
Intermediates:
 Speak to your club about the event
 Create a Power Point Presentation or comparable item and present to Extension Council
within 1 month of your event. (Power Point shall be available to the county for publicity
use)
Seniors:
 Speak to your club about the event
 Create a Power Point Presentation or comparable item and present to Extension Council
within 1 month of your event. (Power Point shall be available to the county for publicity
use)
 Speak to the assembly at 4-H Jamboree.
Scholarship totals are limited to $250 per youth, per 4-H year.
Scholarships are limited to ½ of cost of each camp/conference.
Applications will be accepted for multiple camps and conferences for each individual.
Please allow 30 days for processing of scholarship check.
4-Hers, only, may apply.
Failure to follow-up with obligations following your camp or conference experience will require you to pay back your
scholarship.
