includes:

 The animals food.
 How they get their food.
 What other animals eat them!
Examples: Warbler Bird


 How do they get their food?
 What PREDATOR do you think eats
them?
Predation

 One organism captures and feeds on another
organism.
 The organism that does the killing and
eating is the PREDATOR.


 No two animals can have the
same niche in the same habitat
at the same time.
Symbiosis


A relationship in which TWO
species live closely together.

 Parasitism
Mutualism

 Both species BENEFIT.
 Example: Flower and Insect. Feeding and
Pollination.
Commensalism

One animal BENEFITS and one is not
helped or harmed.
Example:
Elephant
and birds
Parasitism

One organism lives on or inside the
other and HARMS that organism.
Example: Fleas and Dogs
DOGS and FLEAS

Fleas = PARASITE (causes HARM)
Dog= HOST (is HARMED by the flea)
